Actually looks OK in black for a Jap bike

flippin beautiful bike, only thing is itll still ride like a jap bike, like not breaking down, and being quite 'economical', and being stupidly quick etc. Piece a crap. ;);)

But in all seriousness, tried out gixxer 600s+750s and great for using as a tool, but dont make you feel special as a rider. Mind u, it does look fantastic in black. Cant believe people are actually buying the other colours when this one is available!

You thought the ZX10 was good..... So did i, But Suzuki have not just moved the goal posts... they've nicked the post and the net and moved onto the pitch... Big time :o Rode one on monday... Grinning all day like a cheshire cat... Got one on order,delivery end of april.... Cant wait :D

Very nice in black. Better than the blue & white ones - park one of those at a bike meeting & you could easily put your key in the wrong one when you go back to it. They'll be as common as muck!

I'd still take my chances with the stalling/ sticking brakes/ failing coils on the Nero though. Looks beautiful.

Wait till '06, what with yam coming out with their new R1 (theyre keeping it hush, saying its gonna blow everything away for years) and Honda should be releasing a completely new range of RR;s also, its gonna be the year of the litre bikes next year, id be pretty scared on buying one now cause of the residuals

Oh, and an all new Karaoke 10r as well...

(dont you just love that bit in the yellow pages advert, "karaoke 325", makes me chuckle)

Yes mate,Ducati have made 50 just for the UK market.
I saw one at Italia last weekend while I was up there picking up my red'un.Looks fantastic.I did notice that it did'nt have the Ohlins steering damper fitted.Another case of the factory fitting whatevers in the parts bin methinks.

Anyway... for those that really want it, you can always buy some black fairings or paint the current ones and the frame. It's just ink :P

Nope, i'm talking about the K5.
They took the bikes to Spain and went to two tracks there (Almeria and.... another one i can't remember now) and then did a street test.
The R1 came first as the best overall 1000cc.
On the track tests the R1 did better than i was expecting while the K5 was "worst" than i was expecting (i thought it would win hands down and not only it didn't, but it didn't even win at all), since the ZX-10 and the R1 won it and even the MV did some pretty fast times too.

As for the previous gixxer records.... no doubt it's been a winning race bike in many classes, but what's funny is that just 2 weeks ago in the National Superstock class here the K5 were beaten by a CBR1000RR while the year before the K4's won the Championship.

Anyway.... get the K5 and in a year you'll be be regreting it :P;)

What mag was that :puzzled::puzzled: There have not been any uk group tests on K5 yet.... Its that fast they cant catch one :frog::frog:

I saw in in "In Moto", it's an Italian mag. It's a BIG test.
A short version of that test also came in a Portuguese mag this month.

Just a couple of points:

1. Yea, the only ones Ive seen have rated the gixxer streets ahead of the pack.

2. JPM: Ive seen that scheme on a bike for sale somewhere, cant remember, might have been autotrader. Black with red frame. Quite tasty!

3. I hope black is the new red. My 'Dark' wont be looked at as the odd one out then!

4. Dave W: Well done, if your gonna be picking that up your a lucky, lucky sod, as well as having a an R, I kneel before thee! (although secretly i think you should really give one to me, I mean, you can only ride one at a time cant you) :P
