57mm ti termi full system

My Leo Vince end can fell through so I'm after a new exhaust for the 999S, just wanted something a bit lighter, nicer sounding and with a bit more oomp, is a 57mm full system overkill?? Do i need engine mods to make it worthwhile?? are there any other positives or negatives??

TIA

Michael

There will be no need to ring when you are setting off anyway, I'm trying to think who has one, they were on about it setting car alarms off at 600 yards !

Ian, thats was a full Leo from JHP, again can't remember who it was though - think it was on a 749R.

I wasn't really after a 57 system, wanted an end can or half system but have been offered a full 57 at a decent price. Mines an 04 999S with deep sump, what was your system for?

nathanhu 07-May-2005 11:34

it was fitted to my 03 999s

Real McCoy 07-May-2005 13:27

How much do you want for it, will it clear an 05 swing arm :D

Anito 07-May-2005 13:28

Guys,

I put the full 57mm termi system on late last year. Without a doubts it was worth every penny and transformed the bike. More power, smoother, much better engine braking and of course the sound.

It may have cost cloe to £3k but money well spent as far as i'm concerened.

I have an 04 749R

i got a 57mm system on mine, its very good but i dont think its worth or made £3000 worth of improvements, its better than the slip on system but £3000-no

Fookin wont be there on 999 unless i can work out how to get all this extra plumbing in. Knew i should have left it to experts and should never have started on a Saturday night when I'm meant to be out riding tomorrow, grrr, fookin pipework. Anyone got a drawing of how its meant to go ??

Gizmo 08-May-2005 01:27

Sorted!! 5 hours and its in, just got tank/seat/fairings and to re space footrests and its ready to rock, oh and to work out where all these extras nuts/bolts/fibre washers and spacers go. They must have given me a few spares.
