Timing Belts 748 Scotland?

Looking at getting my timing belts done on my 748 at the begining of next year. Anyone know where to get them done in Scotland? Im in fife but dont mind traveling a bit.

Also what should I be expecting it to cost?

Had thought of doing it myself, but from what ive read seems it shouldnt be that expensive (couple of hours labour) so i guess its not worth the risk.....

Cheers
Stu

Stu,

Am in Fife also mate.

There's no-one near-by I'm affraid - the only people I trust with my bike are the boys at Ducati Glasgow.

Where in Fife are you?

Cheers!

Scott

And you've got the quilt cover and jammies to match!

Davieravie 27-Nov-2005 00:42

Anyway, what about Timing belts. Theres a guy who worked for Alvins...Ducati technician...stays round the corner from us...ive got his number...works for himself now. I phoned him the other day and he said he will service Dukes at roughly half price. Cant be bad?

Scottch 27-Nov-2005 00:42

Is that Brian P. you mean?

Davieravie 27-Nov-2005 00:43

Aye

Scottch 27-Nov-2005 00:49

Brian's a right good spud!

If there's no warranty concerns, I wouldn't hesitate in using him at all.

Davieravie 27-Nov-2005 00:49

Worth a follow up Scotty? Older and wiser you are.

Davieravie 27-Nov-2005 00:50

Funnny...he stays across the road from us now....now that is handy!!!!

Davieravie 27-Nov-2005 00:54

Here mate this is daft...i'll give you a bell the morrow. After all.....youre gonna be engineering ma bike!!! Got yer certificates on you?

Scottch 27-Nov-2005 00:56

Absolutely!

He wasn't just any mechanic at Alvins, he was the workshop foreman/chief technician and factory trained too.

And he was there up until early this year I think (maybe late last year?), so should still be up-to-date on Ducati training.
