Max is having a dyno run tomorrow... and I can't be there. Its like taking a kid to Doc's for injection - I just can't be there. Whats he gonna make this time I wonder ? :o I'm like a nervous as a mother hen here :o |
Quote:
51 ..? seems to be about the average for most 583's dyno'd so far............. "Power is nothing without control"..... Goodluck to Max..................... |
Good luck:cool: will await phone call............. C:D |

mines on the dyno too this week. be nice to see 60+; thats obviously a gucci class engine though. :D |
mmm Gucci eh Dickie?;) Tango was also on the dyno last week:o AK liked the pretty graph thingy.......... Snots turn next week:o |
Quote:
yeah, tango's the most powerful one out there so far. |
really? - how do you know?:puzzled: she had a good amount of top hp, but the mid range was pants - worse than std. There are still 2 or 3 that we know of that will be popping more - and possibly more we dont even know of too, as no-one has had a list of riders yet. Anyhow - its not the 'top hp' that is the be all & end all - its the rider & mid range that will carry things off, so AK says. :) |
Quote:
heard from the guys that dynoed it. but quite right about the other bikes. mines never been done. but yes as AK says mid range is where its at. |
Dickie, you muppet - AK dynoed it himself, when Mark had the dyno free one evening, there wasnt anyone else there :lol::lol: (not even Mark!) |
i think you'll find it had been done before by its previous owner. |
i could have got it wrong but i dont think so. 61 odd? |
Midrange is key..and a big fat torque curve..........so is good top end..lol But its all redundant unless you can ride the bike....you can have all the power you want but you still gotta be able to use it........ :D |
Quote:
I disagree ... as long as you've got more horsepower than those who are of the same ability, you're sorted ;) |
:lol::lol: you carry on believing that m'dear:lol: |
Quote:
i agree 100%...... what i said was you gotta be able to use it...:D |
He's Back :D Safe and sound :D and a respectable 50.54 with 39.3 torque. Cant be bad, 26k miles, then a years racing and it's done him some good it seems :puzzled: I suppose i'd better get some practice in now to do him justice :o Cheers G and Tim Radley. [Edited on 30-1-2006 by phoenix n max] |
AK asks what mods you have done to make you want to re-dyno Max, Lin? C ps: got the post today;) |
I presume to get it setup after the big-bore kit has been taken off? |
Big bore? - lin was running 583 all last year like Skids:P |
Er priorities please!!!!!!!!! What about Dessie?:D You know the one Zimbo and I will be trundling round on? PS Dopey here managed to bring the shark fins all the way back home again. I'll stick them in the post at the weekend. |
Lol re fins - I wondered where they were hiding - never imagined they'd be in your rucksack  Dessie is currently residing in a rather swish race shop awaiting a leakdown, compression, valve clearances, full check up and then he's being whisked to Tim Radleys for setup next week hun. By the way - we'll need some decible killers for Dessie if you see any on your travels :o Blimey he's loud! |
Dessie is currently being fettled a little (valve clearances and a tidy up / check over) by Kev Tompkin in Leicester, he's going to drop it down to Tim for a dyno setup once he's done, should be sorted within a week. Still on the hunt for fork springs though, K-tech don't do any to suit. What's everyone else using, M600 / marzochi forks? *edit* beaten to it . . . [Edited on 30-1-2006 by Zimbo16] |

Ah ok, wrist slapped, etc! |
I had one of the later engines that the kits didn't fit Antonye so decided against any of the more expensive options that were open to me. Zimbo - yer gonna have to be quicker than that you know  (runs and hides ) :D |
Can't wait! :D |
Quote:
Me neither :D And Fred - how are you at making the tea cos i've mislaid me catering manager for a short while :puzzled: |
"Ten sugars or twelve?" |
Noooo - that won't do the race diet any good at all :o |
Have you recruited a new team member P? Oh goody, catering sorted then! (thought the next victim was going to be a M600 owner, so we could use his / her bike as a parts bin?) |
Quote:
We already got one of them Zim - but slob doesn't visit here so Shhhhh ok ? ( no-one will notice it's a 620 will they ? ) |
