My new baby !!!

If only it was of the human kind ;) still squeezing!!!

In the meantime, I've been bored waiting, so I've been out and made an astute financial purchase of one of Japan's finest.

Very nice Tim, good choice too. Will this be spending its time alongside the 6r in the diningroom:cool: or will it be raced prep'd for KRC:eureka: Either way I wouldn't want that ozzie upstart near it;)

Its an 06 Blade and too good for the KRC!!!! ;)

It'll be pounding the streets and tracks across the whole of the UK.

I'm determined to do more riding this year and if things work out - get out to the ring too.

Looks like a Scorpion exhaust to me, but could be wrong.
Enjoy the Blade mate there a great bike, I'm enjoying mine :D

Darren

Rattler 17-May-2006 08:57

Yep - its a Scorpion jobby (nice spot Darren) with removeable baffle - makes a nice noise too....

not the best pic, but you get the idea;

Tim

Rattler 17-May-2006 08:59

Another angle;

Gotta lose the rear footpegs, get a seat cowl, fit some crash bungs and we're good to go.

Seat cowls look nice and easy to fit, keep an eye on flebay ;)
Loosing the footpegs is a bit more difficult as the exhaust heat shield attatches to the right one and the rear brake resevoir hides behind it also, you can move that to behind the riders peg though but you get left with lugs from the subframe showing were it used to be :mad:
Just left mine on as it's easier

The exhaust heat shield was removed with the original can - perhaps we need our own section on this site "Ducati owners who own non-Ducatis" ;)

I'll have a look and check.

yeah but you have been on a downward spiral over the last few years... first a yamaha... then a kawasaki and now the final straw a HONDA

what is the world coming to....... :mad:

having said that... can i have a go please :D

Rattler 17-May-2006 13:11

Its the first Honda I've owned - I've had a Gixxer thou, a ZX10R and now a blade. I'm hoping that the power delivery will be a bit more polite than the ZX as that was brutal and was scary!!!!

The reports say that its the more "user-friendly" of the new jap thous and should provide me with useable power for road and trackdays.

We'll see - and of course you can have a go - I'll be taken the blade to the DSC day at Cadwell - see what you think!!

Tim

Lily 17-May-2006 13:26

Won't be at Cadwell, but will be at Oulton if you can fit it in the van :)

Rattler 17-May-2006 13:28

Sorry - will be full of DD bikes
Tim

Dukerob 17-May-2006 21:45

Very tidy mate and it'll start first time every time and probably won't jump off the side stand by itself! Nice silver Cornerspeed sticker and you'll be sorted ;)
