Thinking of a 749 Dark......
 

HI everyone, just found this site after a bit of searching!

Considering a change from my TRE, and can do an OK deal on a 04 Dark. I quite like the earlier fairing, so looks are not an issue to me. It's going to cost me an additional £1000 for a 05.

Assuming I keep the bike for say 2 years, will the 04 model suffer much additional depreciation over the 05? Yes I know ther will be a difference, but as I have been severly burnt by my benelli experience, I just want to know what to expect.

Oh and I'm not buying this as an investment, or to lock up in the garage. This will be riden :burn:

Any general advice will be appreciated, as it may take me some time to filter out all the relevent info from this fine site:D

My advice would be to buy one second hand greybloke..........Welcome to the site by the way.

I paid 8k for mine new July 2004, current book price for a trade in is 5.5k, serious amount of loss for less than a year. Let some other mug like me take the hit of the loss.
