Best Suspension Setup...? I'm wondering if any of you have documented a good suspension setup for a 749, which primarily is used for a trackday bike? I'm finding that road riding is becoming less and less appealing due to traffic and restrictions and I'm focusing more on trackday fun instead. I haven't changed the setup since I bought the 2003 749 second-hand from a dealer earlier this year... would they put the bike back to factory as part of the PDI? |
You coming to Webbys bar-b this afternoon ?? |
also some idea of your weight as I know Electricsheep, Scottch and Brogins have had their bikes set up but they are each very different weights .... also is tthe bike running Showas fr & r or Ohlins or a mix ???? then the guys can get started assisting .... |
Can't make it I'm afraid :( I've been summoned to the In-Laws to be in Essex :o I hoping to get a bit of a ride out tomorrow afternoon/evening if you interested though? |
I about 13 ish :o stone... 5' 8", verging on cuddly :( The bike is completly stock at the moment... Next week sees the modified exhaust and PCIII usb being fitted just in time for Rockingham on Sunday!! :sing: |
who do you have fitting it ?? if its ProV talk to Rob or Pete in the workshop, they are ace at suspension set ups.. its sometimes worth paying to get it set up, best money I ever spent on mine ... |
Speaking of which, Dibs, when will you pay me for the work I did at Brands? :P |

Oh, well, that's OK then - I wouldn't have cashed it anyway ... :saint: |
The answer to the best suspension set up is....................whatever suits you! its as simple as that! However i think there are some ball park mods to make that are coming to the fore as the 749/999 gets older with more experiences. |
