German translation... help Hi, What does "mit ABE passend" mean in an ad for an exhaust can? Does it mean it's a road/race use silencer? Unfortunately Google can't help me about the "ABE" stuff. Thanks in advance for your help... |
It means it's road legal in Germany. |
:(:(:(:(:(:( Cheers Felix. I was thinking about biding on this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ayphotohosting to fit it on my DD bike. Any idea how I could make it "race legal"?:lol::lol: (please please nobody bids on it, I'm French I'm poor :D ) |
Btw, I'm looking for 1 RH cheap race can in good condition (by example you crashed the LH one...), for any Ducati model, I want to be creative :D [Edité le 19-10-2005 par Tonio600] |

Yeah I used Google it works in the same way. But I don't think Babelfish would have given me the definition of ABE :puzzled: which was my real problem. Cheers. |
Hi, It seems that monster silencers will also work for a carb'ed bike according to this thread: http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/xm....php?tid=21086 They do seem to go for quite a bit - as I've been wanting some low level (prefer Road legal but not essential) can for my 93 900ss. Here are some others on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Triumph-Dayton...QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 900 monster parts for sale - your need seems greater than mine - go for it: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ducati-monster...c mdZViewItem OUCH - New from SParesshack - but still cheap I guess: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DUCATI-MONSTER...cmd ZViewItem YES !!! These look more like it for you: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DUCATI-900SS-S...QQcmdZViewItem Just around the corner from me :devil::devil::devil: Good luck |
wahoo :) Cheers for all that Iconic, I'll keep an eye on them... just in case their price don't raise too much :D |
Tonio, Are you just looking for any can, or a specific can to fit your pipework? The one in Germany is an original and bloody heavy! I can't imagine that carrying two of them on the back of your bike is good for acceleration.... I'd recommend trying any autojumble. I saw loads of pairs of carbon cans for about £70-90 at the last BMF. Not too pretty, but miles lighter. Cheers, Ali |
cheers Ali, I think I will go for a carbon one I could find on Ebay. But only 1, not 2 ;) |
