My Pantah 600 Restoration Pictures..The story So Far Thanks to Henners re posting these pictures. I really hope this works... click the link which should take you to the pictures. http://WWW.villagephotos.com/pubbrow...der_id=1762073 The bike doesn't look too bad from the pictures but there is quite a lot of work thats needs to be done. The rear mudguard has been cut down and the rear indicators are non standard. I have sourced some bits and pieces from ebay to help the restorer keep the costs down, but I know the bike will never be worth what I am paying to restore it to as good a condition as possible, however as with a lot of restoration projects it's the connection with the bike that is key. The Pantah started my love affair with Ducati when I first saw one at APS Motor Cycles in Bristol circa 1983/3. I was 17 and riding a Kawasaki Z250 "Scorpion" which although a nice bike, couldn't hold a candle to the Pantah, MHR's etc that the dealer sold. I will try and post some more pictures as I get them from the restorer, and I am hoping to have her back by the end of the year or early 2007. Thanks to all who have given me advice & help with this project so far... and yes the wheels are going to be gold! |
Best of luck with it, should be well worth the effort. I wonder if they'd let it in DD ;) |
