anyone got a Quest?? been looking at areas and thinking of the Ring and it seems that Germany is not upladoded to the unit?? I can find a town on the unit, but no addis or POI?? It is their on the mapsource data and I can do a route but want to update the unit...cant find out how to rom the guilds..any ideas? Thanks oh - and does anyone have a bike kit laying around they dont want.... |
have you transferred the specific map across to the unit? the Quest only holds a limited number of maps before you have to start deleting ones you dont need. setings, map info, highlight the city navigator and see what is loaded. |
it seems not..have checked and it isnt. How do I delete some and add the new ones I want?? (who wants Sweden - its cold!!) |
When I wanted to transfer a new map to my unit I highlighted the area on the PC, it changes to the colour pink, then cilck on the send to device icon. |
cheers - done the job! now just to get the applicable kit for the bike... |
I purchased the standard motorcycle mount then made some brackets to sit across the 749 yoke. Quite neat. I also cut the power cable from the mount and terminated with a SuperSeal connector because most of the time a 20 hour battery life would mean on board charging would not be required. If you would like I could post some pics or give more detail, |

yes please to the pics!! Not really intersted in having power on teh bike, just some decent way of holding on the yokes so I can see the directions etc....thought aboyt a ram mount, they do the basic holder for about £18 then you need to buy/get some way of mounting |

Quest Mount Hopefully find pictures attached. Basically I made 2 ally bars with a hole at each end, then I drilled and tapped to suit the 4 fixings of the bike mount, then stuck on some foam padding where it sits on the bikes yoke and this is held in place by 2 short bungees. Hope this is of some help. |
