The European ones were basically SLs with silver paint but the US ones got the improved '98 model year engine. Different (better) primary drive ratio, internal oil lines, minor internal changes etc....

Rear Sportec that's done 3 track days and about 500 miles on my 70 odd hp SL.

All the edges of the grooves are worn rounded and it's a bluey colour on the edge but feels fine. I wouldn't fancy it...
