I had to do something similar a few months back - are you by any chance changing jobs Tim??!! In Outlook, go to "tools","services", highlight one of the personal folders that you have and then click "properties". This will give you the location of where your pst files are stored. Open an explorer window and navigate to the pst file location and then copy the relevant files to your CD-Rom or portable hard-drive. To install onto your new machine, just reverse the procedure (kind of). As JP says, you won't be able to install if you are using Outlook Express at home. Don't know about .pad files I'm afraid...
