My Mrs had a very similar thing happen to her throgh her email from Ebay...........it went on to say that somebody had been spoof bidding on certain items...in oreder to protect herself and that they could check the position she had to supply her bank details... reluctant at first because we pay for items through Paypal she read on right down to supplying her sort code and her atm number.
She reported it straightaway an Ebay confirmed this was dodgy thanked her for reporting it and would notify other users as soon as is possible.
Be very careful folks, there is always a scumbag about!!
