| its a sad fact though that 100,000 people at Brands is not matched by that number who would watch it on TV. What are the TV viewing figures for Wimbledon? Not far off ten million i would bet. The TV and the newspapers print/show what the majority want and the majority want football, cricket, tennis, athletics etc. At the end of the day i suppose its all about advertising revenue as well. The advertisers will pay a premium price for adverts that are going to be seen by millions.
I dont agree with all that and i would love to see motorcycle racing have a higher profile and get more exposure but at the end of the day it is a minority sport. |
