I run my 748sp without any flywheel. I would put it down as one of the best mods I have done to the bike. After Mag wheels.
It lets the bike rev up much quicker a bit like its had its steroids injection.
Down side is that I had to raise the tickover a bit because it just doesn't have the inertia to turn over slow.
I do use mine on the road but not for commuting just quick hacks. I would say go for it
