The 400 has a 51mm stroke compared to the 58mm of the 600 so the barrels will be shorter. Being Ducati I would imagine that the exhaust ports are the same size as the 600.
The 14mm total difference might be too much to overcome unless you can cut and re-weld a twin outlet manifold.......
