'Biker' for quite a lot of non biking people gives the impression of "tattoos, leather jacket with no sleeves, long hair and a goatee beard" as you say.
  More seem to understand if you say you: 
 "have a passion for motorbikes, in particular - the Ducati"  
 or 
 you are "a motorcyclist"  (conjures up  picture of Webby in Sam browne belt etc

 ) 
 The ' I spend a part of my leisure time enjoying riding my motorbike'  is prob the best one to use, as you are not giving the impression you are the proverbial 'biker' or a power ranger. 
 Anyway, how's the interviews going
