| I've got both a Dainese and a Knox. The Dainese is hard plastic backed, comfortable and I know does a decent job as it's been tested more than once by me. However, I bought the Knox on impulse one day when I was buying my MJK No Limits leathers. The soft structure seems to be better and the fit and comfort are better for me. This applies to the armour in leathers as well where current thinking tends to suggest that soft armour is better than hard as it disperse the impact. It's also a lot more comfortable to wear. I feel more secure in it as well. There are lots of manufacturers and styles/shapes, but similar rule to helmets, buy one that fits. I'm sure Dainese will be absolutely fine, but personally I prefer the Knox.
