| For the barrels Hermatite "Pot Black" works well.
For the silver crankcases, rub down any corroded bits and paint them with Carplan "Engine Lacquer" applied very thinly -best stippled with a stiff brush.
Polish up the bare alloy with wet & dry. Start with a 400 grade and work down to 1200 grade then polish with Sovol Autosol (I think that has another name now).
Replace all the engine (and frame) screws with stainless. and where ever there is a washer fitted use a stainless one. These details make all the difference. |
