That nut is not left hand thread. Its a normal anti clockwise to undo!
If you think about the direction its turning.......for a left hand thread to be useful, ie the natural direction of the revolution keeping it tight....It would nee to be on the other side ie the wheel nut!! I believe some of the race bikes have it this direction.
