MXGP of Flanders Qualifying Race - A tough day for the Aruba.it - Ducati Factory MX Team riders
The sandy Lommel track, located in the Limburg region, 100 kilometers northeast of the capital Brussels and known for being one of the most challenging tracks on the entire world championship, hosts this weekend the fifteenth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, the MXGP of Flanders.
With the 21st and 22nd in timed practice, Mattia Guadagnini and Jeremy Seewer lined up for Saturday's qualifying race, which took place on heavy sand, wet from rain that fell throughout the week before the event, until just minutes before the start of the moto. Both riders struggled to find a good pace in the sand that dug out at each lap, creating deep ruts and treacherous lines. Without managing to make up positions, Mattia crossed the checkered flag 19th, at the end of the 12-lap race, with Jeremy in 20th.
