friend of a friend died on TL1000, experienced rider just lost it on the twisty's. Great deep zorst note though, remember the WSBK bikes, those were the days; deep noise of the TL's and screams/pops/bangs and flames from the ZX7R's. Wasn't Goeburt on TL1000 engined Bimota and that threw him over the bars!
916 insurance is not that bad, - can be same group/price as a 748. To be honest I would start the big vee twin experience on a SS, a 900SS carb or injection is a hell of a bike, learn to ride it right and not difficult to out ride lesser riders on R1's etc. - Oh and shell suit paint jobs have no place on motorbikes
