| Thanks all, got the bike insured ( £286 for fully comp ! ) and spoke to Carol Nash and they agreed on a value of £4500, based on the bike being in very good nick and having £300 odd of Datatool alarm fitted. They also said that the Glass guide prices dont really bear much relation to sale prices with Ducatis as they hold their value so well.
While I was looking I saw a few dealers ( one local ) with M and N reg bikes up for £4.5 with 5K more miles than mine, the only ones under £4K were private sales or ones that were pretty rough with no service history etc... so I think I got a pretty good deal. |
