Adding to Henry's piece, make sure anything you end is adequately insured, that way if it does fail to be delivered, and paypal refund the money to the buyer, you can claim off the carriers.

If there's a dispute and you can prove the items been delivered (signed for) they'll find in your favour as the seller. I had this twice in the last year, they e-mail asking for proof of delivery etc, once they have this it gets passed to the buyer to find whoever signed for it, and you get the money.

But, they do put an immediate hold on the disputed funds in the your paypal account until it's resolved.

I've also had to claim back money from sellers a couple of times and each time it's taken about 10 days whilst they run checks against the seller.

Now I'll only use Special Delivery or DHL for deliveries of stuff I sell through e-bay.
