When I was in the Aus Army we decided that whenever we were drinking on exercise or in the unit boozer we would all carry one of those. When the 'Sherrif' yelled out in the bar - "Show us your sack!" you had to produce the aforementioned item.
If you didn't have that you had to show your real one, and get the beers in.
