In a recent work based workshop I was taught to torque (with admittedly much higher values) in three stages....
1st stage - 33% of total value
2nd stage - 66%
3rd - ok yep, you guessed
Seems to work reasonably well on bigger bolts as I've not stripped anything - YET !!!
