| 9000 miles is hardly a lot. Bottom end failure at that sort of mileage smacks of poor assembly or faulty parts to me.
If it's any consolation, Ducati UK were more than decent to me when they agreed to replace a slightly bent valve (parts and labour) on my 750SS when it was six months out of warranty!
Having a good dealer who's prepared to fight your corner helps a lot here, I think. |
