Had the same on my old 916, turned out the bit that the pushrod hits on the clutch plate was seized (bearing type thing) and when the clutch was pulled in, it in turn started to spin the rod, and in turn spun the slave piston and locked it into place. slacken off the 3 bolts on the slave slightly, or you will have to release the slave cyl manually
