The application form asked you to choose between:
Novice
Novice/Inters
Inters
Inters/Fast
Fast
choosing Novice/Inters or Inters/Fast ONLY IF YOU WERE EQUALLY HAPPY IN EITHER GROUP. This enables me to move people in those categories between groups in order to equalise numbers; it doesn't mean we are having five groups.
As usually happens on DSC trackdays, there would otherwise be a dearth of volunteers for the fast group and we would find ourselves panicking nearer the date and asking for people to move up from inters to fast.
As things stand at the moment, I shall be putting all of the inters/fast volunteers in the fast group as adding together inters/fast and fast we have exactly the 35 fast group total.
So sadly for you, Adam, the fact that there aren't 35 names on the list above under fast doesn't mean that there are still spaces available. If you add up all the names on the list, there should be 105, the maximum we can have.
It does help ME that Fil has gone from inters to fast (though I was going to lean on him to do that anyway) but sorry, it doesn't help the reserves. You will get in if and only if someone already on the list drops out altogether. Sorry if that makes me the bearer of bad news......  |
