| I think the original version of the rule (wets and warmers) was done for safety reasons. I believe what happened then was that this rule was amended at the 'post AGM - DD meeting' to its current form (ie., single control tyre for all conditions (Pirelli Daiblo) and no warmers) in order to help keep cost / complexity down. |
