On the straights, we have everyone and their dogs blasting right past us, but we were able to go round the outside of them on the faster corners - "keeping up with them" is an understatement.
On relative power, I think Antonye's bike is marginally faster than mine. I don't know whether it is down to the engine, gearing, or weight difference (probably all three) and he is faster than me because of rider ability.
In the sessions where I started behind him, I was able to maintain the same distance to him when traffic was clear but couldn't catch up. When I started in front, he could catch me. Given a clear track with identical bikes I think I'd be within a second a lap at Snetterton, but his overtaking confidence is much better than mine so he'd win hands down in any racing scenario. |
