I don't get my knee down very often. I've done it four times now and, yes, two of those times my arse and elbow followed 'cos I'd lobbed it. The other two times were the merest graze around that 90 degree right hander at the bottom of the dip round the back of Rockingham national. The first time it happened I thought "Jeez...what was that" and sat the bike up again. My mate KeefyB told me a story about an aquaintance of his who said "I don't get my knee down, but I go past plenty of people who do" I like to think that applies to me as well. With laps in the 50's I think that applies to you as well. If I was you I wouldn't force it. After a few races, you'll just be going that little bit faster, carrying just a little more lean angle or hanging off an inch more and it will happen. |
