Is this just an annual police response targetting what they see as traffic problems, including bikes which has been reported in a headline grabbing way or has the paper got it right and we are being singled out unfairly as an easy target?
I'm not so sure now.

I think your right, some forces do have a problem with bikes, but on the whole i think we do o.k.I live in Hampshire and i have never had any problems,I used to have a KTM 640 with full race exhaust (louder than my 749 with termi)and i never got pulled once.I think the police in Hants are fairly reasonable and tend to stick to nicking the ****s who speed in built up areas and villages etc.Let's face it these are the people who should be targeted.
It is interesting to note however that bikes which in the main are well maintained and looked after seem to attract more attention than the boy/girl racers in their clapped out, uninsured and non mot'd tin cans.I know who most people would like to see being targetted.
