I think the TomTom Go is very good but it does have it's limitations. Firstly, the speedcamera database is only as the update that you have installed as it relies on your gps position relative to the camera position. ie it doesn't detect emmission from cameras like your road angel does. Having said that, the database is very extensive (I haven't come across one that has not been on the database) and it is free (I can post the link if you are interested). Users can upload new cameras as they come across them or are posted on official websites. The latest update allows you to program in the distance to the camera (or any other POI - point of interest) to give you an audible warning, which was not the case with previous updates. If your job requires you to drive then I would keep using the road angel, but if you are just a "spirited" recreational driver then the TomTom should do you. Hope this helps. Chi |
