tomtom will identify the poi's you specify, not all of them and should identify any nearby poi without a route (POI Warner does this)
I use tomtom 3 and a geodesy plus at the moment, but once TomTom 5 for PDA's is released and the camera database is maintained by tomtom I may drop the geodesy.
Worth noting that most new fixed camera's are emissionless as they don't use radar (truvelo & SPECS) and the old one's are already in the database.
