They shouldn't be allowed in it next year. The rules are very clear top 4 teams from English premiership qualify for next year, this was in place over a whole season from the start.

Simple facts are that over the course of a season they were not good enough, so why now change the rules?

Glad they won, superb match and great for English football but don't be little the tournament and Liverpool FC by allowing them in the back door for next year.

Don't get me wrong I take nothing away from Liverpool nor is any of this their fault.
Clearly the big wigs at Uefa have ****ed up.

Is there now not talk of even host nations of the World / European cups having to qualify as well as the winners. the thinking being you don't go two years without playing a competative game??????????????????????

They should be allowed in next year as defending champions, but not at the cost of Everton.

I don't see how allowing the defending champions to play belittles the competition??????

Because the rules state how many teams qualify from each country. England is currently 4. Over the course of a whole season Liverpool were not good enough to qualify.

Yes they have won it, and thats fantastic but why now change the rules because they have won it!

Whats the point of having rules in place at the start of a competition if at the end of it you just disregard them?
