I had the exact same problem but on a Yamaha I used to own. It turned out it was a blob of dried paint in one of the fuel pipes which restricted the flow of fuel. It was fine on low revs but after a blast the restricted flow wasn't enough to keep it running until enough fuel had built up in the float bowls again. Don't know how it got there but I assume it had been inside the fuel tank and gradually washed down the pipes until it got stuck. |
