I am not sure I understand how that would cool the tires down. Pretty hard to keep them warm by gassing it and braking (which also eats gas, puts more strain on the engine and heats the brakes as well) due to the limited space available following the safety car. It would seem that friction between the fibers in the tire from weaving back and forth and the friction action with the course would be more effective overall to maintain some temp around the whole tire. |
