but will the app not install without getting conflicts then if you switch users back to your own one and start the app it'll use the correct users preference?? Oops, think I'll stick to macs, much easier

Hmmm, what you could do is install under a different profile, then log out and in again under your old profile, you'll have a clean install I'm guessing but you'll need to import your library from the files I mentioned earlier
