| Is this a formal outline/full planning application. If so then the applicants are obliged to provide plans & elevations that are accurate and to scale. It is worth contacting the planning dept in writing to ensure that they address this point.
As far as the application is concerned, it will be determined in accordance with the 'local plan': Although written in fairly simple English, a good knowledge of planning law and local precedent is required to implement/counter act an application.
