| remember that english sale of goods act allows you up to 6 years ( 5 years in Scotland i think) to report a defect inherent at time of manufacture. theres enough evidence on this forum and from your local dealer to suggest that a snapped sub frame fits this. It may be 3 months out of the Ducati warranty ( this is in addition to your rights under sale of goods act) but did the crack start prior to the 2 years ? was the bike inspected at its last service for this??
It might be worth a call to DUK to discuss it and see what they can do as a goodwill gesture before seeking further advice.
its a pretty easy job to get it welded anyway. |
