| Sounds to me like there's air in the fluid somewhere and therefore the clutch is dragging...
I had a Mille that dragged it's clutch all around Italy and the hotter it got, the more it clunked and the harder it was to change gear...finding neutral was impossible!!!
Get thee bleeding that thar system I reckon!

PS. See you on the Autostrada if you're trip is to Misano - look out for the Bayliss Rep with it's own (slipping) clutch problems!!!
