Hi Tiago, It was good to meet up with you at Estoril on Saturday, but due to the very hot ride down 41c the day before we were feeling a bit knackered and faced with the same trip back decided to cut it short and go out on the pi$$ instead Saturday night and leave Estoril 11.00 am on Sunday to ride back to Guarda. The track was awsome very technical but easy to get it wrong as i found out going straight on at the 3rd corner after the start/finish line.I'm glad i put on the secondhand bodywork but the damage was very light unlike the guy from our party who nearly killed himself the day before on the mountain and only just fell short of going over a 100m edge damaging his helmet (large crack) and scuffing all his leathers but they did the job.We managed to get spare parts so that he was ready for the track day only on the last lap of the last session he high sided at speed and destroyed the otherside of his 999 as well as another helmet ,and on both occaisions he walked away with little more than a scratch. I ony wished we had a day or 2 at Estoril to chill out before the trackday then it would have been more enjoyable. What a pleasure to ride on the highways of Portugal and Spain where cars/truck almost drive off the road so you pass without crossing the centre line and the high speeds that can be maitained without the fear of being stopped by the police - well almost. Then we arrived back in Plymouth and faced with congestion, **** drivers, crap roads and speed cams everywhere. No wonder so many Brits live abroad - as you can tell i'm depressed at being back home.Cant wait for another foreign trip. Take care and maybe meet you next year Bazzer |
