Sounds a very strange, best i can suggest is give Terry Sylvesters a call on 01484 683665.
They specialise in Yamaha dirt bikes and are very good.
They're in Holmfirth in Yorkshire, don't know where you are but may well be able to give you a few ideas over the phone if nowt else.
Pretty quick those wr426's, hope you get it sorted.
