You can report your unhapiness to the insurers and ask them to refer you to someone else. You can also request a list of the solicitors that they have on their panel. You can request the solicitor you want to use but they are not obliged to use them as the solicitor firms on their panel pay huge sums of money to the insurers to have cases referred to them. If you put your complaint in writing to your insurer they will investigate it as it a headache they can easily do without.
