Going back to your question about what is it with a Ducati over other bikes such as an R1 ?

Last year I decided to take the plunge and get a modern sports machine.
I first test drove a Honda CBR600F and enjoyed the ride. Deciding I needed some comparison I then then test drove a GSXR600 and fell in love thinking this is the bike for me, or so I thought.

As I returned from my test ride the sales man (CMC Chesterfield) was quick to ask me how this faired over the CBR. Subconciuosly, I looked around and parked in my vicinity were 5 more blue and white GSXR's - lovely ride I commented but not very elusive (pointing at the other GSXR's with a 'well which one is mine' frown).

Thats when he dragged me over to the 748s - 'elusive he said, may be not but it's definately got more head turning appeal'. I test rode it two days later, paid the money and are still loving it !
