| Sounds exactly like an oil pressure switch problem to me. I had 13 of these little devils go on my 748, and it went something like this: -
1) Starts flickering at tickover
2) Stays on all the time
3) Pumps oil out of the top of the switch
There's normally a few miles pause between each stage - except when it did all 3 in one go at Donington, sprayed oil of the back tyre and I became intimately acquainted with the gravel trap at Redgate...
Pop a new switch in, and if it still does it seek urgent dealer advice.
