| I agree with you. The legilastion over bike exhausts has always appeared discriminatory to me when cars are allowed to run what ever.
I had a Uno Turbo many years ago that was really loud! Never got in trouble over that.
A few years ago I ran a ZXR750. I was pulled over near Matlock and got a real going over. It had an after market can and despite being road legal and showing the E mark, I was still questioned over it. Whilst I was getting a talking to, a Saxo went by. Big exhaust, sub turned up loud and definately over full with with Chavs. I glanced at it and grinned......... got nothing more than a "well.......back to your exhaust" from the copper who then gave me a producer.
We're just an easy minority to target. I agree it will get tougher as well. Even the tracks appear to be tightening down now!! |
