I've been reading the free copy they gave away with Bike mag recently. One of things i managed to remember was that he tells you not to use engine braking to slow down. The only reason to change down is to make sure your in the right gear to accelerate out of the corner.

Now i've always been a big fan of downchanging and loads of blipping going into corners and using maximum engine braking but at TA4 i thought i'd give his method a try. I just used the front brake and changed down just before i tipped into the corner. Well what a transformation! The bike felt so much better and i was cornering better that i ever have before, plus i wasnt risking over revving the engine by changing down too soon.

I must read the rest of it at some stage.
