I've had a CBR600F before, it was a '96 and fantastic. Can't go wrong with a Honda for reliability you can just run them into the ground and they'll keep on ticking.
Didn't have any problems with it being quiet either as it was an ex-TT Proddy Bike!!! Went like stink!!
